Want to get to meet other like-minded people exploring responsible living while taking a break from the city and making a difference to the Indonesian community? After the success of our first two trips, EarthLife has teamed up with LooLa Adventure Resort on Bintan for our third-weekend getaway that makes a difference!
LooLa is unique in being an eco-resort that helps empower the local Indonesian community. It is also a family-owned resort, with the owners being genuinely passionate about sustainability and designing the resort to embody that. In fact, they’ve won many awards for their efforts.
We’ve worked with Loola to develop a homestay option and a new Mangrove Restoration project (carbon positive) with the maritime university in Bintan. We will also build a Safe Water Garden, which eliminates groundwater pollution and saves lives (hundreds of Indonesian children die each day from problems related to the waste water contributing to vector-borne diseases). Besides making a difference, we’ll also have some adventure, fun and relaxation thrown in. This trip is great for adults or families.
