Part of the Workshops at @Dempsey Village Farmers Market

Food Forest” for Food Security
Evelyn of Green Circle Eco Farm

Evelyn Eng has been growing foods that are chemical-free and which adhere to strict organic farming principles at Green Circle Eco Farm for twenty years. The farm puts special emphasis on environmental conservation and through the use of permaculture has created an agricultural ecosystems intended to be sustainable and self-sufficient. This includes using natural barricades to prevent wild boars digging up produce, and using roofs and gutter systems to capture rainwater for watering plants. Their organic veggie boxes are immensely popular and they are still one of the few local farms where you can find traditional local edible and medicinal plants grown organically and soil based – from superfoods moringa and winged bean to wild pepper leaves and other herbs.

Evelyn is a wealth of knowledge and she will be sharing some insights and tips in this 3 hour workshop. Participants will then make a traditional Nasi Ulam using the freshest ingredients from Green Circle Eco Farm and a cactus rose flower drink.

A truly special one off experience not to be missed.

Workshop Fee : $98 SGD
