Parenting from the Heart

What if you knew how to listen to your children in a way that they were likely to open up to you when they have problems, or talk to them in a way that they would be open to listening? Demanding that children obey us, against their will, engenders resentment and rebellion.

Chapter Zero is proud and excited to be collaborating with international CNVC trainer, Tina Schmitt in a series of 4 NVC workshops.

Our 4th and final workshop we’ll learn how to move from constantly judging our children as good or bad to relating to them as fellow people, with the same feelings and universal needs that we all have. This supports mutual respect, understanding, cooperation and trust.

Participants are invited to become conscious of the joy they experience when helping to meet the needs of others. Modelling this for our children encourages them to connect with that same joy.

Topics that we may wish to explore are how to:
• Create a quality of connection that embodies unconditional love.
• Express yourself authentically so you’re heard and respected.
• Set clear limits without using demands or coercion.
• Empower your kids to open up, cooperate and realise their full potential by deep empathetic listening.

A transformational, experiential training that is stimulating and fun!
This workshop is for anyone who has children, cares for children, or works with children.

Recommended preparation: Foundation Training in NVC, reading Marshall Rosenberg’s “Nonviolent Communication: A language of life”, or watching his full foundation course video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LuPCAh9FCc

A few words from CNVC Trainer, Tina Schmitt

I am living in Germany and offer workshops, coaching and mediation everywhere where my heart feels joy to do so. It’s been the dream of my life to know how to live my deepest honesty while at the same time stay lovingly connected with others. Nonviolent Communication has taught me how to live that dream. I met Marshall Rosenberg in 2003 and am grateful I could learn from him for several years. My focus has become the practice of self-compassion because this is where I connect to my inner peace and at the same time I experience it as the most natural source of compassion for others. I love ‚dancing‘ with others to explore the many layers of aliveness that unfold when we live in the spirit of NVC together.
