Smoothie Bowl | Meatless Monday

Want to look radiant for the Christmas parties – and feel less stressed? Try starting the morning off with this delicious vegan smoothie bowl!

It’s a busy time with Christmas just around the corner and the season for social gatherings which also means a lot of  good food and wine! Try, at least for breakfast, to pause and give your body a break to recover with this nutrient rich and healthy green smoothie bowl – with the added benefits:

Radiance boost

Made with watercress an easy to digest and nutrient packed leafy green, this bowl is a powerhouse of iron and vitamin C. Avocado will provide you with the antioxidant vitamins A, C and E that are good for skin and looking radiant! The cashew nuts are a good source of protein, with high levels of magnesium and iron, essential for healthy skin, hair, nails, healing wounds, and improving immunity. You will look radiant at and full of power when rushing around!

Stress aid

Avocados are also sources of the blood pressure regulator potassium and the energizing B vitamins, in particular the “anti-stress” vitamin B5, great for helping your body cope naturally with the effects of ongoing stress (that comes with Christmas!). So here’s the magic:


1 handfull morning glory/watercress

1/2 avocado

1 piece cucumber (10cm)

1/2 appel

4 cashew nuts

juice and zest from 1 organic lime

small piece of ginger peeled and finely chopped

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp liquorice powder

1/4 almond milk or water

Wash the morning glory, cut the avocado, apple and cucumber into small pieces, place all ingredients in a small blender or Nutri-bullet and pulse until smooth.
