Hot and humid, but the great weather, makes Singapore an obvious place to do your exercise outdoors all year round. Challenge yourself with these 10 great outdoor classes, the more you scroll, the bigger the challenge!
WATER
AQUA BIKING
You love swimming, but are the endless lanes of breast strokes and free style getting a little monotomous? Perhaps doing a biking class in the water could shake things up while shaping you up! You can work hard, without getting sweaty + you get the added the benefit of the water pressure on “problem” areas, as well as protection for your muscles.
Aqua Spin operates at three locations in Singapore and at various fitness levels.
STAND UP PADDLEBOARD
It’s been a trend for while now, exercising your balance, endurance and strenght on a board – all while floating on water with wind in your hair. At SUP at Tanjong Beach in Sentosa, they can quickly teach you the basics of stand-up paddling in a couple of lessons – you can even book at family session! If not too comfortable standing, why not mix it up with more fitness and horizontal exercise – SUP also offer group yoga and pilates on the board!
SURFING
Now, Singapore might not offer the best surf, but if you want to train and get ready for the real thing or just want to have fun outside, Wave house will simulate your Bali beach. CLIMBING
It might not be a street sport – but you’ll probably feel pretty street and daring, when you venture up the climbing walls of Singapore. And not only will it test your courage, but it will help your muscular strength and endurance, so trust that rope and get outside and climb! There’s a long list of indoor climb sites, but at two locations you can breathe the fresh air while ascending in Singapore!

BOOTCAMPS
In the past five years, there’s been a boom in outdoor fitness classes in Singapore and pioneers like UFIT have expanded rapidly with 80 sessions a week, 11 types of bootcamps in 12 locations in Singapore. In the bootcamps, the instructors use you the environment to push your fitness and often change locations midway for you to enjoy new scenery in Singapore’s beautiful parks. BOXING
If you’d like a good bodyblast with full power, but not necesarily the type to join the ring – there’s plenty of options for you outside. You get the gloves, you do the fighting, but you avoid the blood at these high intensity fitness classes.
