Because whole wheat and whole grains preserve the fiber, minerals, and vitamins from the grain, studies have shown they can help with weight-loss and reduce fat storage.

Replacing refined wheat with whole-wheat has been shown to reduce inflammation in overweight people and reduce body fat percentage in postmenopausal women.

White flour can spike your blood sugar because the glucose from the carbs goes directly into your bloodstream.

The high content of fiber in whole wheat flour helps to regulate the rate at which the glucose is released into your blood. This prevents blood sugar spikes and energy crashes.


What to look for in buying Organic Whole Wheat Flour

When buying whole wheat flour, make sure it has the word “organic” on the label. This means that the wheat crops have been cultivated with safer methods and don’t contain synthetic pesticide residues.

This is important because wheat is one of the most widely cultivated grains, and the vast majority is cultivated through conventional methods.
